Favorite Song Of The Week

More like Favorite Song Of The Last Month since I only posted one, but it is FREAKIN' AMAZING. I love it. Reduces me to giggles and sometimes tears. I'm hoping for a song on the new album to be edited like this, with auto-tune or whatever. I would DIE. Alex Gaskarth's voice sounds awesome all techno. More awesome than usual, at that. I also love the lyrics to this song. All around awesome-ness.

Sticks, Stones And Techno
by: All Time Low

You spin your words like a record in motion,
step into the party, step out a commotion,
with stars in your eyes,
and with fire at your fingertips,
burn down this city and everyone in it,
singing, "Oh, we are the dancers!"

Show me the skyline and I'll show you decadence,

a subtle reminder of hearts filled with loneliness,
give me your worst words and I'll bring the sticks and stones,
I'd hate to use them,
you can't shake it with broken bones...

Oh we are the dancers!

Don't complain if you can't win,

its just something we live for,
and we do it well as you'll see by the way that we,
rock and we roll over state-lines and dollar signs...
Oh you dance like its your job.

Your Perfect Image

I sure do love emails. Some of them are just so dumb they're entertaining. The following pictures are from an email I got. I'm not quite sure why the animals are using gangster talk, but it is funny.

What I Would Give...

I don't think I've laughed this hard in awhile.

Let's Hear It, Oh Let's Hear It

Just so you all know, we've been experiencing some technical difficulties in the world of my computer today. Not my fault at all, I'm blaming it solely on my sister because she was on the computer at the time, but really it seems like the computer is self-destructing. Deleting it's own program files. Stupid suicidal machine. But I spent over an hour this morning neck-deep in the programming command system of a computer, boldly going where no one has gone before. It's not a fun place. All black and white, courier font, typing in commands and searching for missing files. It didn't even seem like a computer, just a hell hole. Not fun, but I feel accomplished that I worked through it, with my grandpa on the phone of course. It's not fixed, only running on the disc that's in right now. The disc is appropriately named "I HATE MY LIFE," by the way. Hopefully I can permanently fix it, but if you don't hear from me, you know why.

What is Melanie listening to right now?: Nothing because I'm scared I might overload the computer and it will delete all my belongings just to smite me.
P.S. Happy Valentines Day
P.P.S. Don't worry, I backed up the important things.

Favorite Song Of The Week

I think this lovely space-consuming post is going to occur on Tuesdays now. Happy new music Tuesday! Here's what I've been listening to a lot his week!

MY FAVORITE SONG THIS WEEK IS...

I'd Hate To Be You When People Find Out What This Song Is About
by: Mayday Parade

And we both go down together
We'd stay there forever
Just try to get up
And I'm sorry this wasn't easy
When I asked you
Believe me
And never let go

Well, I'm thinking of the worst things
That I could say to you
But a promise doesn't mean a thing anymore

And this never will be right with me
And now you're trying to desperately
But I'm tongue-tied
And terrified of what I'll say

And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And I'm sorry that this wasn't easy
When I asked you
Believe me
You never let go
But I let go

I could only sing you sad songs
And you could sing along
And you could see the melody
That's been calling out your wrongs

And this never will be right with me
And now you're trying to desperately
But I'm tongue-tied
And terrified of what I'll say
But I never told you everything
I'm losing hope and fading dreams
And every single memory along the way

And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And I'm sorry that this wasn't easy
When I asked you
Believe me
You never let go
But I let go

And we both go down together
And stay there forever
Just try to get up

And then we both go down together
We may stay there forever
I'll just try to get up
And I'm sorry that this wasn't easy
When I asked you
Believe me
You never let go
But I let go

Seriously.

Well Blogger is being dumb with my pictures today, so I don't know if you can see that, but 8 of the 9 messages in my Hotmail inbox are from colleges. Thanks PLAN test! This is all I get for emails now! More later, I guess...

this is my town, THIS IS MY PRIDE, these are my friends, this is my life

Well if you need to know anything about cloning in the next several days I'm the one to ask, apparently. I just finished a three-and-a-half page essay about the godawful subject. Grace and I coauthored the lovely paper, and I'd say it's pretty good myself. If you'd like to read it, just ask. I'd love to give you a copy. And anyone can feel free to hop on MSN and proof-read it. It's only a huge chunk of my grade... And my mother is off to Arizona, so she's not here to comb through it. Yeah, you did read that right. Not only did my parents leave me and my sister home alone two weekends ago to go to Minneapolis without me, but now my mom has jumped on a plane headed to Arizona to celebrate her parent's fiftieth anniversary. Life's rough, I know. But a weight is off my shoulders now that this essay's done. I extremely dislike English papers.

In other news, it was GORGEOUS outside today. Obviously warm enough to launch a hot-air balloon, because I saw one on my way home from school today. Bizarre, I know. You don't need to tell me. Sure, it was wonderful at fifty degrees at ground level, but up in the air? Most likely not. There's probably an icicle-encrusted hot-air balloon laying about the city somewhere with a dead body falling out of the basket. Or maybe I've been watching too much Supernatural.

Well there's your first February update! I figured you wanted one, but that's about all I got.

P.S. Despite popular belief, there's still four more days to endure before the five day break. FRICK!
P.P.S. Our power went out today when I sat down to write the English essay today. DOUBLE FRICK!
P.P.P.S. I have noticed that no one is attempting my lovely contest. It can't be that hard, people! Not even one comment! FRICK YOU!!!
